Describe working at NAS in three words.
Interesting. Challenging. Satisfying.
What is the best part about working at NAS?
Our customers are often working in emerging fields, and it is fun to see and work on producing the new technologies.
What is your role at NAS?
As principal engineer, I work with customers on their product needs, mechanically engineering our new automation challenges as well as programming, test and commission.
How long have you worked at NAS?
NAS was officially forged in 2000, but it has been around since the early nineties. I joined in 1996.
What do you do in your free time?
I spend the majority of my free time working on our 1903 farmhouse. Over the past 19 years, I have reworked the majority of the house, including all new windows and complete kitchen gut/rebuild.
What would somebody be surprised to find out about you?
That a social misfit like myself could have raised a Northfield High School homecoming king.
What is the most recent app you’ve downloaded?
Snapchat, so I could communicate with my kids. (It’s required even if they are in the same room.)
What is the coolest technology/technological gadget you’ve ever seen or read about (real or imagined)?
It’s hard to pick just one. I’ve seen a ton of really clever stuff in the packaging industry.
