Northfield, Minn. – In addition to hosting a group of high school students for an in-depth discussion about robotics, Northfield Automation Systems (NAS) recently announced details on its summer travel schedule.
In early spring, NAS welcomed 15 students from the Northfield High School FIRST Robotics Team and advisor Steve Taggart to their facility, where NAS CTO and Principal Engineer Dr. Gary Larsen conducted a tour and led a discussion of robotics and automation systems.
“This was a great chance for us to connect with kids and support one of the schools in our community,” said Darin Stotz, NAS Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “The FIRST Robotics Team is made up of some exceptionally bright, exceptionally hard-working students. Their interest in robotics and robotics applications was impressive. It was a pleasure to spend time with them at our facility.”
NAS also released details on an expanded summer travel schedule. Representatives from NAS will be on hand at:
- Display Week 2014 – International Symposium, Seminar and Exhibition
June 1-6
San Diego Convention Center, San Diego, California, USA
- National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) 2014 Manufacturing Summit
June 10-11
Renaissance Washington Downtown Hotel, Washington, D.C., USA
- SEMICON West 2014
July 8-10
Moscone Center, San Francisco, California, USA
Stotz said, “These events – and others, like the recent FlexTech Alliance Workshop at the University of Akron – are great venues for us to connect with other industry leaders and continue educating manufacturers about our custom roll-to-roll automation solutions. Technologies like our innovative vision inspection and electrical test systems are typically of great interest to those looking to increase precision and reduce both errors and waste.”
