NORTHFIELD, MINN. — Northfield Automation Systems recently announced the unveiling of their new web presence, made live to the public in mid-August. The new site replaces their three-year-old website and makes use of a new responsive design, enabling tablet and smart phone users to experience the site in a more visually pleasing, organized fashion.
Darin Stotz, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Northfield Automation Systems, spearheaded the development of the new site. He said, “The explosion in popularity of tablets and smart phones for web browsing really forced us to reevaluate our site. Our website analytics indicated a significantly growing group of users who were coming to our site via devices other than the traditional desktop computer. Given the fact that this trend will almost assuredly continue, we wanted to create a site that delivered content optimally regardless of the user’s device.”
Stotz continued, “In addition to a more contemporary design, the new site is significantly more user-friendly and overall does a much better job of giving those interested in us a full view of all that we do. We wanted to ensure that potential customers, our partners, members of our industry and others could both find us on the web, and then find the information they were seeking within our site. The updated design and navigation of the site goes a long way toward accomplishing that goal.”
Stotz went on to say that while a high quality, user-friendly website is important, the NAS team recognizes that it will never replace the person-to-person interaction that is so key to their work. “Our site was designed to give people the key information they need, but we’ll never rely on it to speak for us,” he said. “As a staff we’ll continue to be available to current and potential customers as well as others who reach out to us.”
