Northfield Automation Systems (NAS) recently delivered two custom roll-to-roll standalone manufacturing process solutions to FlexTouch Technologies Co., a Chinese high-tech company specializing in next-generation flexible metal mesh touch sensors, including applications for use in mobile and smart wearable devices, tablets and laptops, vehicles and more.
Project Details
The NAS roll-to-roll systems have been launched into FlexTouch production as planned, with a recent installation trip for these solutions. Our custom software allows for traceability throughout the rolls as to locations and results of quality and testing, including trending for proactive operator awareness. Additional features and capabilities of the systems include:
- One-micron inspection for defects and quality
- In-line capacitance testing
- Laser characterization anywhere on the production web
