NORTHFIELD, Minn. (July 19, 2010) – Northfield Automation Systems recently announced that it will be an exhibitor (booth 232) at Solar Power International 2010 on October 12-14 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California. Solar Power International is the largest solar conference and expo in North America.
More than 1,000 companies will exhibit at this year’s conference, including cell and module manufacturers, inverter and other component manufacturers, material and equipment manufacturers, installers, integrators and investors. As a developer of custom manufacturing solutions for thin materials, which are used in many aspects of solar technology, Northfield Automation hopes to reach key members of the solar industry. “Solar technology is a niche market, but a rapidly expanding one,” said President and CEO Mark Wegner. “We have the tools and expertise to help advance innovations in solar power, and an event like this one is an ideal way to connect with companies that could benefit from our knowledge and services.”
Solar Power International was created in 2004 through a partnership between the Solar Electric Power Association and the Solar Energy Industries Association. With an industry growth rate of more than 40 percent per year, there was a need for a single event where industry could come together with potential customers, policy makers, investors, and other parties necessary for continued rapid growth. Proceeds from Solar Power International are used to support the industry and grow U.S. solar markets through the year-round activities of the two nonprofit partners.
“Alternative, clean energy is a big topic these days, and we see a lot of potential in solar power as an accessible solution,” said Wegner. “We believe we can play a major role in that solution.”
