Material Knowledge

Successfully automating roll-based and thin substrates requires more than understanding automation processes. It is essential to have expertise in the materials themselves and the knowledge of how materials behave when subjected to automation processes. Our engineering staff has experience in a wide variety of materials including:

  • Unsupported and supported plastic films such as polyimides, polyethylenes (PEN, PET), polyesters, polycarbonates
  • Unsupported metallic foils including copper, stainless steel, aluminum
  • Combinations – adhesive-based laminates, adhesiveless metalized films, coated materials, sputtered and vapor-deposited composites
  • Adhesives – including free-film, pressure sensitive, thermal plastics, thermally-cured, epoxies, acrylics, high flow, low flow
