Initially founded in 1995, Northfield Automation Systems has grown into one of the country’s most experienced and knowledgeable firms specializing in the automation of thin materials. Our core expertise is our understanding of what it takes to accurately control and manage thin material so that it can be precisely handled during unique, precise and delicate processes.
The custom automation equipment we design typically requires an extraordinarily high degree of control in one or more of the following areas:
- Tension control – as little as zero tension if needed
- Precision guiding
- Thermal management – heating, cooling and dissipation
- Optical inspection
- Visual closed-loop controls
- High control pressure and lamination processes, including multiple layer lamination
- Precision location in X-Y-Z positioning
